Supernatural takes lots of imagination to watch. None of the plots are based in reality, though they do have realistic elements. The acting is not superb, but for what the series is, the two main actors do a great job of making the characters believable... and the situations they find themselves in. Seeing how the characters deal with each really dire adversity situation is a hoot.
We actually started watching the show just this season, which is the series 5th season, and we bought all the seasons before just to catch up.
