TV Series DVD

I am not a person to "double dip"--if I own something on DVD, I won't purchase the blu-ray. However, I love "The Prisoner" so much that I decided if I could recover about 80% of the cost for the blu-ray by selling my DVDs, I would purchase it.

Boy am I glad I did! The episodes are crystal clear in HD!!

However, I do have a problem. The fifth disc, which contains bonus features and is actually a DVD rather than a blu-ray, doesn't play properly on my blu-ray player. The disc will load and show the menu. And I am able to navigate the menu. However, whenever I choose a bonus feature to go into, rather than starting the feature, it acts as if I hit the stop button. It will do this for every choice on the menu.

I tried the fifth disc on my normal DVD player in my bedroom, and it plays there without any problems. However, I would have liked to watch these features on my big screen TV.

The blu-ray player I own is: Panasonic Blu Ray Player DMP-BD60. I'm sure the fifth disc most likely works on other blu-ray players, as I haven't seen anyone else complain about this. But if you do own the same model as me, expect to have some problems.

I've emailed A&E (who had put out this set, I believe), but they haven't gotten back to me. Granted, the special features are something I'd probably only watch once, but not being able to view it in my living room is enough to drop it by one star in my opinion.
